The thing I absolutely love about brand photography (well, okay, you got me, I love everything about it) is that I get to witness firsthand people following their dreams. For this session, I got to photograph the Prosperity Effect Planner – it was a product shoot that I did in my home office, for Kelly Francis of Kelly Suite.
Kelly first reached out to me about a year and a half ago for a brand session for her new company – Kelly Suite. It was one of my favorite sessions I’ve ever done – not just because Kelly is BEAUTIFUL, but because she’s an amazing freakin’ human inside and out. I knew this woman had big dreams, and she was just sitting there on the cusp of them – that photoshoot being one of the first steps to putting those dreams out in the world publicly.
That shoot led to many more collaborations together, but the best outcome was the friendship that has grown so deeply and beautifully since then. Kelly has become a true treasure in my life today and it literally makes me tear up and love my business that much more! I just can’t believe sometimes the amazing humans that I get to work with!!
Fast forward from that first shoot, and Kelly asked me if we could do an all day mentoring session together.
We took on the challenge of mapping out just about her entire business plan in one day – from mapping out her branding, to her mission statement, the vision for her company, her ideal client, her workflows, her offers, and so much more. That was shortly after her first brand session, and what came out of it was that what she really wanted to do – more than ANYTHING in the world – was be a motivational speaker, and help women go after their dreams and achieve a life they’ve previously only ever dreamed of in Life, Love and Work.
Kelly is the person who has conquered life against all odds – from a very difficult upbringing, to severely abusive romantic relationships, to putting herself through college and climbing up the corporate ladder despite life constantly trying to knock her down – she’s a freakin warrior. She has this quote she always says: “I want to help you set the stage for your own life.” She’s a true believer that your upbringing doesn’t determine your future – and that you can truly achieve and have anything you want in life, love and work.
These day’s Kelly lives in a beautiful apartment in Tampa, Florida, with her loving husband Curtis, helping women realize their own potential. Helping them realize that they don’t have to settle. Helping them realize they can ask for – and deserve – more.
Naturally, with this kind of attitude about life, you gotta go big with things, and after our mentoring session, Kelly decided one of the ways she was going to help women do this was through creating a planner. It’s called: The Prosperity Planner, and the main goal is helping you success in Life, Love and Work.
And ya’ll – she left NO STONE UNTURNED here. I’m one of the lucky few who have the planner (since it’s not released yet!) and it covers EVERYTHING – from time, to work goals, to finances, to your relationship goals, to self-care and wellness, to spiritual goals. Kelly designed this planner with so much intention and care to really empower people to change their lives.
So when she asked me if I could photograph her samples, I was immediately THRILLED to take on the project. I wanted to capture just how versatile this planner is, so I set up flat lays for many of the different sections of the planner to showcase all the different themes it has. They were SO FUN to style (and quite a far cry from styling wedding invitations!) and I am OBSESSSSED with how all of these came out!
I can’t wait for this planner to make its debut into the world when the time is right, and for now, I’ll be oohing and aahing over the photos and my copy of it – changing my life one day at a time.
Kelly – you know this already, but I love you to freakin’ pieces. Entrepreneurship takes guts and bravery. It takes resilience. It takes the courage to bet on yourself. And that’s what you’re doing, and will continue to do. I’m so inspired by the way you chase your dreams and goals and cannot wait to see how you continue to change the world and the lives of so many people.
