Brand Session at Red Maple Vineyard, NY for Alchemist Christa Whiteman

HOLY SMOKKKESS. Friends – you’re in for a treat. I couldn’t peel myself away from this brand session while I was there, and I still find myself scrolling through this gallery weeks after it’s been delivered.  Without further ado – I present another brand session from May with alchemist Christa Whiteman, owner of Wild Woman Herbs! Christa is a holistic doctor and clinical herbalist that helps navigate the best choices to support your body in person and online! 

We had Christa’s brand session at Red Maple Vineyard (my amazing wedding venue!!) which was the most PERFECT space to capture her earthy, organic and folksy vibe!

When Christa reached out to me via email for the first time, I literally was smiling ear to ear, keeping all fingers and toes crossed that we’d have the chance to work together. This is a little of that first email that made me so giddy:

What I do: I’m a clinical herbalist and I help women with autoimmune disease and chronic illness find balance and health with herbs.

Who I serve/My Ideal Client: Mostly femmes (but can be any gender) who want to support their health & vitality naturally, with nutrition, herbs and lifestyle. They value their health and want to be proactive about it. They value the healing power of nature over prescription drugs whenever they can. They are willing to invest time, money and effort in their health. They have a full life already and are willing to ‘learn it all’ for themselves. 

What feelings do I want the images to evoke: Earthy, a little wild, maybe a tad witchy, natural, supportie, caring, competent, intelligent, wise, of-the-woods.

It felt like I had literally manifested my dream client right then and there. As I got to know Christa more – and we discussed plans for the perfect shoot, this became more and more apparent.

From her questionnaire, she shared with me even more about WHY she does what she does, and what she feels is her “purpose” with her business.

“My purpose is to help empower people to reconnect to the wisdom and healing of plants, and of that knowledge passed down through our ancestors. So they can either be helped by it themselves, or learn it for themselves to help others. To empower their personal sovereignty in their healthcare in a responsible, reliable way. ” – Christa Whiteman

Wow, wow, wow. I love that so much, and there was truly no better place to capture this essence than at the beautiful Red Maple Vineyard!

We captured so many scenes around the property including:

• Lifestyle shots in the herb and vegetable garden
• Desk scenes working with herbs and going through herb textbooks
• Flat lays of herbs, bottles, books and more! (I LOVE THESE!)
• Outside in the field with her bow and arrow – WHICH SHE MADE!
• Foraging for herbs in the vegetable garden
• And so much more!!

Christa – It was so amazing to capture and learn about you and your business! I am so glad you found me on your Google search!! I cannot wait for another session together this fall – you are truly amazing and documenting your passion was seriously an honor!!
