Oh my goodness you guys! This was such a fun brand session in Mendham, NJ with Helen who is literally like a radiant ball of sunshine!! She is vibrant, full of life, colorful, and full of so much joy and energy for just LIVING! As you look through the photos you will know what I mean!
Helen is an energy healer– she loves, collects and teaches about crystals, meditation and Reiki. She’s also an artist and makes pastels of beautiful angels that are so colorful and full of life, just like her!
We captured so much in this session! First, I started off with photographing her artwork. I photographed all of her paintings and her working on them in her kitchen where she typically creates! Each piece is so unique and exquisite and you can tell just how much time and love went into each one!
Then, I took a few shots of her in her beautiful belly dancing outfits! Typically she is part of a belly dancing recital in her town, but Covid didn’t allow that to happen this year and I know she really misses it and her friends from class!
After that, I photographed the crystal “grids” that she has all over her house! It’s amazing, every crystal vibrates at a different frequency and all have different healing properties. She advised me to put my amethyst crystal on my desk when I got home and I did! Her collection is so beautiful and abundant!
Then we moved to a new scene in Helen’s office to photograph a meditation class – her friend, Kerry, was the student guest, and Sydney also acted as a student for this scene! Helen really came to life when she started teaching and talking about the crystals, meditation and healing energy in general. We also did a mock Reiki session, which is an energy healing therapy, with her friend Kerry as well!
While in her office, we also photographed scenes of Helen working on her laptop since she is frequently doing zoom classes now! Then I took some photos of her pulling angel card readings, playing her drums, and using her sound bowls! I particularly love how the sound bowl shots came out!
We ended the session outside in her yard by her favorite tree, and threw some confetti which Helen told me is MAGIC! I love how these shots turned out! She was so so cute I didn’t want the day to end and I hope I’ll get the chance to cross paths with her again!!
