I can’t wait to share another personal brand session with you today!! This brand session in Long branch, NJ was part of my November 2020 brand mini sessions with Jessah Rose Photography! Jessah and I met a few years ago during a Northern NJ Tuesday’s Together meeting. Tuesday’s Together (if you’re not familiar) is a local chapter of the Rising Tide Society – an international free organization of creative entrepreneurs and small business owners learning and growing together!
HOWEVER – while I feel like we first met at a session, we did actually cross paths before that, but I just didn’t realize! Jessah and I used to both work for Digi-Chrome Studios – a commercial photography studio in Oakland, NJ. I worked as a photo editor and she was a photography assistant, but since I worked in the back offices, we never crossed paths there really. But regardless – it’s such a small world! After leaving the studio, Jessah started her own portrait and wedding photography business in NJ where she proudly serves fun-loving couples!
Now – back to the shoot! This was Jessah’s first time getting portraits of JUST her for her business! And – luckily for our location, Jessah’s favorite color is orange and we were able to capture that in so many ways! The sunroom in the house we rented for the shoot fit her and her brand so perfectly. She loves light, warmth, coziness, and fuzzy socks, and what better way to express that than in a lightfilled room with cozy blankets, socks and pillows!? Jessah had gotten a new pair of fuzzy socks that morning just for the shoot, and I’ve gotta say- I need to get a pair, they look so cozy.
All her photos were so warm and cozy just like her photography work. It was really cool being able to capture the warmth of her work through brand photos. We ended the session outdoors where her true personality came out! We danced, made silly faces and laughed. I couldn’t stop smiling! She has such a quirky and fun personality and it comes through the photos and I know that’s exactly what we both had hoped to capture!
Jessah – you’re a freakin’ gem, girl. I’m so happy to know you and can’t wait to continue watching your work get better and better!
